Kamal Singh, Weekend MBA, 2026
Reflecting on my final hybrid residency weekend at Duke for my MBA journey has been nothing short of emotional. It feels like just yesterday when it all began, and now, as I approach the end of fourth term, the experience has been incredibly transformative.
The insights and teachings from the esteemed faculty at Fuqua have been invaluable, primarily through the Health Sector Management Certificate. This course of study has not only deepened my understanding of the US healthcare system but has also instilled in me a drive to seek solutions rather than focus solely on the challenges.
However, beyond the academic growth, the true treasure of this experience lies in the friendships I have cultivated. The network of accomplished individuals I now call friends has been a source of inspiration and learning. Their diverse experiences and perspectives have enriched my journey in ways I could have never imagined.

This weekend held personal significance as well, as I commemorated my late father’s birthday and remembered my sister, who we lost to COVID five years ago. Their words and memories continue to guide me as I navigate this phase of my life.
As I gear up for the final exams and electives, I am filled with gratitude for the lessons learned, the friendships nurtured, and the memories created. The Duke MBA journey has been truly transformative, paving the way for a new chapter filled with growth and gratitude.
