Before Fuqua
Before Fuqua I worked as a Registered Nurse in many different health care systems. A majority of my experience was within the Pediatric ICU, but I also have experience in adult ICU, perioperative services, and the emergency department.
Why did you choose Fuqua?
I chose Fuqua because it was well known within the health care field. I was working at Duke Hospital immediately prior to business school, and many of the MDs I spoke with completed the Executive MBA program. I also really connected with the culture and community at Fuqua and appreciate all of the support available.
Why did you decide to pursue the HSM Certificate?
I knew I wanted to remain within the health care space while expanding my knowledge to the business of health care. Completing the HSM Certificate is allowing me to combine my clinical knowledge with the business knowledge I’m learning.
What have been your favorite health care courses at Fuqua?
So far I’ve only taken required courses which I’ve enjoyed, but I’m really looking forward to taking the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Strategy Course.
