Before coming to Fuqua, I worked in healthcare strategy consulting at The Dedham Group in NYC, specializing in oncology and specialty therapeutics. My role focused on the pricing and accessibility or drugs, driven by my passion for improving patient outcomes and bridging the gap between medical innovation and effective healthcare solutions.
Why did you choose Fuqua?
I chose Fuqua for its unique blend of culture, academics, and community. The “Team Fuqua” spirit, where collaboration and support are at the core, was the environment I knew I would thrive in. I knew my cohort, regardless of who they were, would push me to grow and excel in all areas of my life.
Why did you decide to pursue the HSM Certificate?
My passion for healthcare began at a young age when I became an EMT at 16, sparking a lifelong interest in improving patient outcomes. Through both clinical experience and academic experience in my undergraduate studies, I deepened my understanding of the healthcare system. At Fuqua, the HSM certificate equips me with a deep understanding of the complexities of the healthcare industry and prepares me for impactful work post Fuqua.
What has been your favorite health care course or experience at Fuqua?
Dr. David Ridley’s Biotech and Pharmaceutical Strategy Class: Dr. Ridley is a highly respected professor at Fuqua, renowned for his expertise as an economist in the life science industry. He has published multiple papers that have become law and shaped health policy, particularly in aligning incentives with innovation and quality in healthcare. His deep knowledge and ability to articulate strategy in the pharmaceutical sector makes his lectures both intellectually stimulating and impactful.
After Fuqua
Post-graduation, I will be joining Barclays Investment Bank on their healthcare team. I’m excited to apply both the financial and healthcare knowledge I’ve gained through Fuqua, while continuing to live by Team Fuqua’s values of teamwork and collaboration. I look forward to using my leadership skills to contribute to my team’s success and support those around me, while driving impactful outcomes in the healthcare industry.
