What company/organization did you work for before Fuqua and what was your role? I am an MD/MBA student between UNC and Duke so was immersed in the medical school curriculum prior to Fuqua.
Why did you choose Fuqua?
I chose Fuqua to explore the interdisciplinary possibilities between my clinical experience and business education via both the Center for Health Sector Management and Duke-Margolis Scholars program. I also loved the collaborative culture and experiential learning opportunities, specifically through Duke Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Why did you decide to pursue the HSM Certificate?
I pursued the HSM Certificate to take a deep dive into the systems and stakeholders across the healthcare industry, and to learn from my colleagues and faculty.
What has been your favorite health care course or experience at Fuqua?
My favorite has been the Duke University Hospital Experiential Learning Practicum (DUHELP) Course.

What are your plans after you finish your Duke MBA?
I plan to complete a general surgery residency.
