Before Fuqua
Before Fuqua Prior to Fuqua, I spent six years at UnitedHealth Group and its subsidiaries (Optum and Sanvello Health) in various finance, strategy, and business development roles. Most recently, I lead our women’s health partnerships strategy at Optum.
Why did you choose Fuqua?
I chose Fuqua for the collaborative Team Fuqua culture, the strength of its healthcare offerings, and the variety of experiential learning opportunities.
Why did you decide to pursue the HSM Certificate?
Although I’ve spent my entire career in healthcare thus far, I still have a lot more to learn. I view the HSM Certificate as a unique opportunity for me to spend two years deepening my healthcare knowledge and connecting with likeminded peers, all of which will prepare me for a fulfilling career in the healthcare industry.
What has been your favorite health care course or experience at Fuqua?
HSM Bootcamp was one of my favorite healthcare courses so far. HSM Bootcamp is a weeklong healthcare class that all HSM students take prior to Fuqua orientation. The course ensures that all HSM students have the proper foundational knowledge before taking additional healthcare classes, and also gives students the opportunity to form connections with other HSM students prior to the broader Fuqua orientation.
After Fuqua
After Fuqua I’m currently exploring several post-Fuqua paths, including healthcare startups and healthcare investment firms.
